Nerdist just released what the cover looks like and I have to be honest I think it's pretty awesome. Myself, Thomas and Ryan Kincaid (the artist that drew it) worked on it for quite a while. We tossed around ideas on how she should be sitting what she should be wearing (just that conversation alone took forever). I think over all it's perfect. It embodies things that happen in the book but metaphorically. It's a really fun way to encompass who she is too. If you haven't seen the article here it is: http://nerdist.com/first-look-at-lani-sarems-handbook-for-mortals-cover-exclusive/
This is my first blog post. I'm going to try to update this as I go along. I'm so excited for this journey and that you all chose to come along with me. In my (jaded of course) opinion Zade is such a fun character and she's young and has so much to learn and yet she's really is coming into her own.
Friday The Hollywood Reporter put out an article about my book. I showed it to my mom today. She's not really on the internet unless I get her on it so she didn't see it on her own. As I read it out-loud my mom cried. I'm pretty sure she's never cried over being proud of me before. Not saying she's never been proud of me before but never enough to cry that I can remember. For fun here's photo of us from when I was little.
I can't wait for you all to read it. Next week we will be revealing the cover which I'm so excited about. Though this is Sunday so really it's THIS WEEK...And then Aug 2nd Trailer Park Shark comes out on SYFY and I play Roxy so make sure to check that out! Thomas Ian Nicholas stars in it...and then next weekend Thomas and I will be at Wizard World in Columbus, OH! So if you are nearby come see us!
